VKG Fiber Advances Key Phase in €1.3B Pulp Mill Development; Launches Strategic Partner Search with AFRY Capital

VKG Fiber has made significant progress towards establishing a state-of-the-art 500,000-tonnes-per-annum pulp mill in Estonia. Having secured the necessary land plot and long-term raw material supply, the company has initiated the search for strategic partners supported by AFRY Capital, a leading adviser in the global pulp industry sector.
Lüganuse rural municipality established Estonia’s first designated spatial plan for bioproduction

Yesterday, on 29 May, the Lüganuse Rural Municipality Council passed a decision with a majority of votes to establish the local government designated spatial plan which grants Viru Keemia Grupp the right to build a bioproducts production complex in the territory of the rural municipality. The establishment of the plan allows the company to move forwards with the development.
Raivo Vasnu to join the Management Board of Viru Keemia Grupp

Starting from November, Raivo Vasnu, an experienced manager in the industrial sector, is joining the Management Board of Viru Keemia Grupp. At first, Vasnu will commence work in the Group’s Management Board, and starting from 31 March 2025, he will also assume the duties of the long-term member of the Management Board of VKG Oil, Nikolai Petrovitš, who decided to withdraw from office starting from the coming spring.
