VKG as promoter of local culture life
VKG for the good of the regionIn 2010 the concern paid its main attention to the promotion of local sport and culture life.
The main recipient of VKG`s sponsor support in the cultural area was Jõhvi Concert Hall which year allowances reached 20 000 euros. This cooperation has aimed enabling regional children from children’s homes, retired people and other people of lower financial means to assist cultural events at lower price or free of charge, to support culture-related youth initiatives and increase the number of festivals held within the county.
Throughout the year VKG also supported smaller organizations and events, among them PurFest, Purtse River Festival, Ida-Viru County folk dance group Gevi, Kohtla-Järve Cultural Center and many others.
The main objective of sponsoring politics for the year 2011 is still to support local events and organizations of cultural and sports life, to diversify cultural life of Ida-Viru people and to motivate local residents to live a healthy lifestyle.
