The professional association of employees of chemical enterprises in Kohtla-Järve acts as an organization since 1948. Its leader since 1974 until now is Vello Pärnits.
The Trade Union of Chemical Workers is an organization defending collective interests of employees of chemical enterprises. The trade union as a link between employees and administration organizes their contacts and acts as a mediator when making the labour contract. Furthermore, the trade union helps VKG to organize internal events and coordinates information exchanges between its members employed by other enterprises.
